Pelicans’ Lonzo Ball, JJ Redick Drawing Interest

1 Min Read

The New Orleans Pelicans could be active as the NBA trade deadline approaches and at least two players are already drawing interest from other teams.

According to The Athletic’s Shams Charania, Pelicans guards Lonzo Ball and JJ Redick have been discussed when interested teams have contacted the franchise about their availability.

The Pelicans have shown an openness in discussing both players.

While Ball has been averaging 12.0 points per game this season, his shooting is 38.9% and the pairing with Eric Bledsoe has not paid off for New Orleans.

Redick has seen his playing time at the lowest it’s been since 2008, when he was a member of the Orlando Magic, despite his shooting ability, which demonstrates that the Pelicans don’t see him as a big part, or long-term fixture, in their offense.
