Saints’ Michael Thomas Undergoing Multiple Ankle Surgeries

1 Min Read

New Orleans Saints wide receiver Michael Thomas is set to undergo multiple ankle surgeries this offseason, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Thomas had played through the pain down the stretch of the regular season and into the playoffs, as he was hoping to help quarterback Drew Brees win another Super Bowl.

Thomas was limited to only 7 games during an injury-riddled 2020 season. Thomas suffered a high ankle sprain in Week 1, suffered a hamstring injury later down the road, and was even suspended for one game for punching a teammate.

All in all, Thomas finished the rough year with 40 receptions for 438 yards, way off of his normal production.
