Former Ohio State head coach Urban Meyer has long been linked with the Jacksonville Jaguars head coaching vacancy, taking a number of meetings, and has even been rumored to be forming a staff in preparation of his jump to the NFL coaching ranks.
However, while it appears that Meyer to the Jaguars seems like a done deal, it may not be a lock just yet.
According to NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport, Meyer has yet to firmly and finally decide if he wants to coach in the NFL, leaving the Jaguars coaching search at a standstill.
The report goes on to say that some within the Jaguars’ front office are growing frustrated with Meyer’s indecisiveness. Meyer’s delays certainly continue to put the organization in an uncomfortable position, as other solid head coaching candidates may not remain on the market for much longer.
