Jadeveon Clowney Open to Returning to Titans

1 Min Read

Veteran pass rusher Jadeveon Clowney is open to re-signing with the Tennessee Titans, where he spent the 2020 season, as he prepares to hit the free agency market this offseason, according to TitanInsider’s Terry McCormick.

Clowney, 27, has a long-standing relationship with Titans head coach Mike Vrabel, going back to their days with the Houston Texans, and Clowney has indicated that he  is “definitely open” to returning to Tennessee next season.

Clowney inked a one-year, $12 million deal last offseason, but failed to register a sack for the Titans in 2020, collecting only 19 tackles, one forced fumble, and 6 quarterback hits in a season shortened by a left meniscus injury.

The Titans’ lack of depth at outside linebacker makes is sensible to bring back Clowney, but the price tag will be interesting given the injury history and down year in 2020.
