Nets Sign Andre Roberson

1 Min Read

The Brooklyn Nets are reuniting superstar forward Kevin Durant with his former teammate, as they have agreed to terms with free agent forward Andre Roberson, according to The Athletic’s Shams Charania.

The Nets had considered signing Roberson, who played with Durant when both were with the Oklahoma City Thunder, last month, but opted to sign veteran swingman Iman Shumpert.

In a corresponding move, Brooklyn has waived veteran center Norvel Peller, which opened up the necessary roster spot on their 15-man roster for the team to add Roberson, according to an official press release.

While Roberson won’t likely be a big offensive producer, he is known for his stellar defense, which will be a big benefit to the offensive heavy Nets.
