Denver Nuggets superstar big man Nikola Jokic admits that he took issue with a shot that forward Michael Porter Jr. took during the Nuggets 125-112 loss to the Milwaukee Bucks on Monday night.

Porter took a contested, ill-advised, shot from the perimeter during the fourth quarter, with time left on the shot clock, as the Nuggets were trying to fight back into the game, snuffing out the momentum that Denver was trying to build.

“I told him after the game I think it’s just a bad shot. It was not the timing” Jokic said, according to DNVR Sports’ Harrison Wind. “We kind of had the lead, it was a contested shot. The guy was right there. I think it was just a bad shot in a bad moment. I want to win the game. He wants to win the game…”

Jokic certainly did his part, scoring a game-high 35 points on 13-of-26 shooting and added 12 rebounds and six assists in the loss. Porter struggled, scoring 8 points and grabbing 8 rebounds in 27 minutes of action.
