Seahawks’ Russell Wilson Discusses Trade Rumors

Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson has also heard the trade chatter, and with rumors circulating that he has grown frustrated with the team’s inability to protect him, Wilson discussed the rumors on Tuesday during an appearance on the Dan Patrick Show.
Wilson, 32, was asked if he heard the reports that teams have been calling the Seahawks about his availability in a trade.
“Yeah I definitely believe they have gotten calls” Wilson said during the appearance. “I think anytime, you know, you’re a player that tries to produce every week and has done it consistently, I think people are going to call and I think it’s part of the process.”
“Well, I’m not sure if I’m available or not, that’s a Seahawks question” Wilson said. “I think more than anything else, you know, at the end of the day you want to win. You play this game everyday to wake up to win. You play this game to be the best in the world. You know what I hate? I hate sitting there watching other guys play the game, there’s nothing worse.”
The appearance comes on the heels of a report from CBS Sports’ Jason La Canfora that stated that Wilson is frustrated that the team has failed to construct a solid offensive line over the years, which has led to him being sacked close to 400 times over 9 seasons.
