The Boston Bruins will be hitting the ice once again on Thursday, as they are scheduled to return from their COVID-19 shutdown, where they will face the New York Islanders, according to Bruins general manager Don Sweeney.
The game between the Bruins and Islanders will be the first pro sporting event in Massachusetts with paying fans in the crowd since last March. Should everything go smoothly heading into the game on Thursday, the Bruins would play at the TD Garden with 12% capacity, or about 2,100 fans.
Back on Friday, the NHL postponed two Bruins games after four more Bruins players entered the COVID-19 protocol, for a total of five (David Pastrnak, David Krejci, Sean Kuraly, Jake DeBrusk and Craig Smith).
