The Baltimore Ravens are following through with their promise to prioritize improving their pass protection for franchise quarterback Lamar Jackson, and are set to sign former New York Giants guard Kevin Zeitler, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Zeitler was released by the Giants, in a cap saving move, after the organization failed to find a trade for him. The move saves the Giants around $9.6 million in cap space, and is a win for the Ravens, who were one of the teams who expressed interest in Zeitler, but decided to be patient with the belief he would be eventually released.
Now, the Ravens are bringing Zeitler in on a three-year, $22.5 million contract with $16 million guaranteed.
