Andrade made his AEW debut on the Friday night edition of Dynamite. Already one of the faces of Mexican wrestling, Andrade promised to be the face of All Elite Wrestling. WWE had granted Andrade’s release back in March without a no-compete clause, meaning that he was free to sign with any promotion as soon as WWE released him. Rumors swirled for months to where Andrade would end up signing, but now we know that “El Idolo” is All Elite.

Andrade has the looks and all the tools to become a major player in All Elite Wrestling from the start, it’s still puzzling how WWE couldn’t find anything for him to do on Monday Night Raw. The AEW crowd was hot for Andrade when he appeared on stage. El Idolo’s first promo was short, sweet and to the point. It would be smart move to pair up Andrade and Vickie Guerrero, she would give him instant heat with the fans and would be a great mouthpiece for Andrade just like Zelina Vega was for him in WWE.
The only question would be why have Andrade debut on a Friday night edition of Dynamite? AEW should’ve waited until Dynamite moved back to Wednesday nights where the viewership would be much higher. AEW was coming off their lowest rated Dynamite show ever and without any vignettes teasing Andrade’s debut. It was very questionable to have Andrade come out to very little hype. Time will tell if AEW truly missed out on a chance to capitalize on Andrade’s debut.
