WWE Releases Braun Strowman, Aleister Black, More

1 Min Read

WWE doesn’t seem to know what they hell they are doing anymore, let alone put on a semi-entertaining pro wrestling show, and the round of releases today show that WWE is truly out of touch with their fanbase, and perhaps doesn’t even care to be in touch with them anymore.

Among today’s releases are Braun Strowman, Aleister Black, Ruby Riot, Lana, Buddy Murphy, and Santana Garrett.

WWE horrendously fumbled the development of Strowman’s character, multiple times throughout the years, to the point where he barely had any impact when he won the Universal Championship at WrestleMania 36.

Black recently returned to television and seemed to setup a feud with Big E, but was shockingly released. Black is another example of a super-popular and successful NXT talent that was botched horrendously after being called up to the main roster.

Murphy was easily one of the most consistent in-ring performers over the past year and a half on the RAW brand, but was mysteriously dropped.

Ruby Riott’s Riott Squad stable and, eventually, tag team could have carved out a nice niche, had they been allowed to, but seemed destined to be yet another victim of WWE’s ineptitude.
