Team USA will be without superstar forward Bradley Beal for the Tokyo Olympics as he remains in the health and safety protocols, leaving Team USA Basketball in a search to replace him, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski and Brian Windhorst.
Team USA also announced that forward Jerami Grant has entered the health and safety protocols out of an abundance of caution, and his status for Tokyo is yet to be determined. Team USA remains hopeful that he could clear the protocols in time to travel with the team next week.
USA Basketball said a roster replacement for Beal will be named at a later time.
