Colts’ Carson Wentz Out Indefinitely

1 Min Read

Indianapolis Colts veteran quarterback Carson Wentz is out indefinitely as he undergoes further testing for a foot injury that he suffered at the end of Thursday’s practice, according to ESPN’s Mike Wells.

Late in practice, Wentz felt a “twinge in his foot” when he rolled out and planted to throw and now the team is hoping that the injury isn’t as severe as initially anticipated.

“He’s with the docs, trying to figure what out the process is,” offensive coordinator Marcus Brady said following practice. Brady was speaking to the media in place of coach Frank Reich (COVID-19).

“Still evaluating what the next move is, how bad it is. Then we’ll go from there.”

The Colts acquired Wentz from the Philadelphia Eagles this offseason, reuniting him with Reich, for a third-round pick in the 2021 NFL draft and a conditional second-round pick in the 2022 NFL Draft.
