Los Angeles Dodgers starter Trevor Bauer is currently on paid administrative leave but a “majority of players do not want Bauer back under any circumstances”, according to the Los Angeles Times’ Mike DiGiovanna.

The report cites “two people with knowledge of Dodgers clubhouse dynamics” and the incredible article labels Bauer as a “pariah in his own clubhouse” and believes his entire career could be in jeopardy.

Bauer, who appeared at a court hearing Friday in Los Angeles which was pushed to August 2nd, has seen his administrative leave extended twice, the second of which runs through Tuesday. according to ESPN’s Alden Gonzalez. “Bauer’s team needs more time to prepare a defense against witnesses and medical records that they say they only received recently. Bauer’s legal team has advised him not to testify. Petitioners argued he nonetheless has to take the stand.”

DiGiovanna noted that a woman obtained an ex parte temporary restraining order against him and said “the pitcher had choked her to the point of losing consciousness during two sexual encounters in the spring and injured her during the second.”

Back in late June, Bauer’s agent Jon Fetterolf said, according to TMZ: “Mr. Bauer had a brief and wholly consensual sexual relationship initiated by [the accuser] beginning in April 2021. We have messages that show [the accuser] repeatedly asking for ‘rough’ sexual encounters involving requests to be ‘choked out’ and slapped in the face.”
