Bears’ Justin Fields Healthy, Will Play Against Buffalo

1 Min Read

Chicago Bears rookie quarterback Justin Fields is considered healthy and will take the field when the Bears take on the Buffalo Bills in Chicago’s second preseason game scheduled to take place on Saturday.

It will mark the first time that the Bears will see former franchise quarterback Mitchell Trubisky, who is now the backup to Bills starter Josh Allen, since Trubisky parted ways with the Bears during the offseason.

Fields was listed on the Bears injured list on Wednesday with groin soreness, and was limited to light throwing. Fields returned to practice on Thursday and is set to see significant playing time against Buffalo.

“I think yesterday giving Justin the day off to help him was good, and he feels good,” Nagy said, according to ESPN’s Jeff Dickerson and Marcel Louis-Jacques. “We want to sacrifice that day of practice to be able to get him right for Saturday.”
