The Indianapolis Colts got some much needed good news regarding quarterback Carson Wentz and All-Pro offensive lineman Quenton Nelson who are both recovering from foot surgeries that had their season status up in the air.
According to ESPN’s Chris Mortensen, Wentz and Nelson are both currently trending toward being healthy enough to play in the Colts regular season opener next month against the Seattle Seahawks.
Last week, the team announced that Wentz and Nelson would both be sidelined anywhere from 5-12 weeks following operations on the same foot. Wentz underwent surgery on August 2nd and is slated to begin rehab next week.
Nelson underwent surgery on August 3rd.
