Philadelphia Eagles rookie wide receiver Devonta Smith has taken some important steps in his recovery from an MCL sprain he suffered a few weeks ago, and seems on track to be available to play in Week 1.
According to NFL Network insider Mike Garafolo, Smith took team reps during practice on Tuesday. Smith was selected in the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft and had been impressive during camp when he was healthy.
Smith, who is currently considered day-to-day, was increasing his conditioning work during practice, according to ESPN’s Tim McManus.
