Jacksonville Jaguars rookie running back Travis Etienne is expected to miss the entire upcoming season after being placed on injured reserve with a Lisfranc injury that will require surgery, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Etienne suffered the injury during Monday’s preseason tilt against the New Orleans Saints, which the Jaguars lost 23-21. Etienne caught one pass for 3 yards and managed only 1 yard during his lone carry during the game.

Etienne will not be allowed to return this season due to being placed on the injured reserve prior to making the team’s initial 53-man roster.
