The New Orleans Saints are expected to place superstar wide receiver Michael Thomas on the physically unable to perform list which will likely keep him out for the first five games of the season, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Thomas has been sidelined since he underwent ankle surgery in June. Saints head coach Sean Payton recently said that Thomas was “ahead of schedule” in his recovery, which prompted speculation that he was on track to play.
Thomas and the Saints have been at odds for the past year, and this development will further complicate things moving forward.
