Red Sox Chris Sale Tests Positive COVID-19

Boston Red Sox ace pitcher Chris Sale will miss at least his next start, which was scheduled to be against the Chicago White Sox on Sunday, after testing positive for COVID-19, according to ESPN’s Joon Lee.

Sale, who is now the 10th Red Sox player to test positive for COVID-19 since August 27th, will have to sit out a minimum of 10 days under MLB protocols and joins 8 other Boston players currently on the team’s COVID injured list.

Sale has gone 3-0 with a 2.52 ERA for the Red Sox this season.
