The Las Vegas Raiders and quarterback Derek Carr will not be discussing a potential contract extension during the regular season and will instead address the situation during the offseason, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Carr signed a five-year, $125 million contract back in 2017 that, at the time, made him this highest-paid player in the NFL. Carr has been playing solid over the first few weeks of the 2021 regular season.

The report added that Carr never intended to talk contract during the year, instead preferring to wait until the upcoming offseason, so this news should be nothing controversial as the season continues to unfold.
