Falcons Sign Thomas Morstead

The Atlanta Falcons have signed veteran punter Thomas Morstead, according to an official team announcement. Morstead would confirm the signing on his Twitter page shortly after the team’s announcement.

Morstead, 35, would serve as a temporary fill-in should Falcons punter Dustin Colquitt be unavailable to play on Sunday due to COVID-19 protocols. Morstead is likely to be gone once Colquitt makes his return.

Morstead is best known for his time with the New Orleans Saints, where he played 12 seasons.
