The Minnesota Vikings have officially released a statement following a few alarming Instagram stories were posted by veteran defensive end Everson Griffen that raised some serious concerns about his mental health and well-being.
“Vikings representatives and the team’s mental health professionals have been on-site at Everson Griffen’s home since early this morning and are cooperating with law enforcement” the Vikings said, according to ESPN’s Courtney Cronin. “Our only concern at this time is the safety and well-being of Everson and his family. We will have further comment at the appropriate time.”
Vikings general manager Rick Spielman is expected to add more updates later today.
