One of the quietest recruitments of all time has come to an end as St. Francis four-star linebacker Jaishawn Barham announced his commitment to South Carolina Barham was also considering Maryland, Penn State, and Oklahoma. This ends a recruitment where nobody was sure of who was leading for Barham as he never tipped his hand.
Barham is ranked as the third-best recruit from Maryland and eighth-best linebacker in the 247sports composite. With his commitment, the Gamecocks now have 19 commits.
Barham plays both inside and outside linebacker at St. Francis and does everything from dropping into coverage to rushing the passer. At 6’3”, 230 pounds, he has the size and skill to make an immediate impact in college.
