Cowboys Retaining Mike McCarthy

1 Min Read

It appears that the Dallas Cowboys will be sticking with Mike McCarthy as their head coach for next season, amid calls for his firing following the Cowboys brutal loss to the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC Wild Card game on Sunday.

Dallas committed 14 penalties for 89 yards in the loss.

Cowboys Executive Vice President Stephen Jones gave a vote of confidence for McCarthy on Monday, when asked if McCarthy was going to remain the team’s head coach during an appearance on 1052 The Fan, Jones said; “Absolutely, Very confident”, according to The Athletic’s Jon Machota.

The Cowboys have gones 18-15 in two seasons under McCarthy, who took over for Jason Garrett.
