Bucs Restructure Mike Evans Contract

1 Min Read

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have restructured the contract of All-Pro wide receiver Mike Evans to provide the organization some cap flexibility, something Evans has done a few times in the past, according to The Athletic’s Greg Auman.

Evans, 28, was scheduled to count for $20.62 million against the cap, but by converting some of his base salary into a bonus, the Bucs have created an additional $10.3 million in cap space to operate with.

Evans is coming off a season in which he nabbed 74 receptions for 1,035 yards and 14 touchdowns.
