Giants Release Kyle Rudolph

1 Min Read

The New York Giants have released veteran tight end Kyle Rudolph, according to an officially announcement from Rudolph via social media on Wednesday.

“Certainly not the year any of us expected, but a year we will never forget,” Rudolph wrote. “… Thanks to everyone in the building who took in and helped this old guy who needed to relearn everything about a new organization.”

Rudolph, 32, informed ESPN’s Adam Schefter that he is not retiring and has plans to continue playing next season. However, his lack of production with the Giants may not entice many interested teams.

During his lone season with the Giants, Rudolph collected only 26 catches for 257 yards with a touchdown.
