WWE Ends Partnership with Russian Broadcaster, Shuts Down WWE Network in Russia

1 Min Read

WWE has taken a stand against Russia amid the invasion and war in Ukraine, terminating its partnership with Russian broadcaster Match, and shutting down the WWE Network in Russia effective immediately.

“The move eliminates access in Russia to any WWE programming, including the company’s weekly Raw, SmackDown and NXT shows, its on-demand library, and all of its premium live events, including WrestleMania 38,” WWE said in an official press release.

WWE now joins a number of other companies and sports organizations that have dissolved their partnerships and business relationships with Russia due to the invasion of Ukraine.
