Toronto Blue Jays superstar Vladimir Guerrero Jr. is the cornerstone of the franchise and is already staking his claim to MVP honors with a red hot start to the 2022 regular season, and that has stirred up talks regarding his long term future in Toronto.
Guerrero Jr was asked about that potential extension and expressed his desire to remain solely focused with his play.
“All I know is how to hit curveballs and fastballs” the slugger said, during an interview with MLB insider Hector Gomez. “My thing is to do my job in the field, I don’t want to talk about contract because that’s why I have agents and that’s their jobs”
Guerrero Jr. is slashing .289/.325/.711 with five homeruns to open the 2022 campaign.
