Heat’s Jimmy Butler Discusses Game 7 Miss

1 Min Read

Miami Heat superstar Jimmy Butler is breaking his silence on the game-winning shot attempt that missed, ending Game 7 and officially ending the Heat’s season while sending the Boston Celtics to the NBA Finals.

Butlers three-point attempt in transition with less than 20 seconds left in regulation, and the Heat down by two points, was a talking point on social media following the conclusion of the Game 7 battle.

“My thought process was ‘go for the win’ which I did,” Butler said in the post-game presser (h/t ClutchPoints). “Missed the shot. But I’m taking that shot. My teammates like the shot that I took, so I’m living with it.”

Butler dropped 35 points and kept the Heat in the game with his incredible performance in Game 7.
