Warriors Eyeing Las Vegas Summer League For Potential James Wiseman Return

1 Min Read

It has been quite some time since NBA Champion Golden State Warriors big man James Wiseman has taken the court, but he is making progress in his recovery from a torn meniscus back in 2021 as he could potentially join his team for the Las Vegas Summer League later this summer.

According to The Athletic’s Anthony Slater, Wiseman went through the Warriors summer league contact practice on Wednesday, however he will not play in the two Chase Center Summer League Games slated for this weekend.

The Warriors are aiming for Wiseman to make his appearance during the Las Vegas Summer League, provided that he continues to trend well.

Wiseman hasn’t played since April 10th, 2021, when he suffered the injury against the Houston Rockets and was forced to undergo corrective surgery as a result. The original expectation was that he could return toward the beginning of the 2021-2022 season but swelling prevented Wiseman from taking the floor at all during the season.

Wiseman recently told reporters that he was planning on playing in the Summer League.
