The Buffalo Bills are doing work to get their roster cut down to the 53-man limit today, and have made a pair of moves to do just that.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Bills are releasing veteran tight end O.J. Howard, which is not a surprising move given Howard has not been able to stand out during Bills training camp this summer.

Howard, a former first round draft pick spent the first five seasons of his career with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Additionally, the Bills will also release veteran running back Duke Johnson, but the team is eyeing Johnson for a place on their practice squad provided that Johnson does not choose to sign elsewhere.
