Dodgers’ Craig Kimbrel Discusses Another Blown Save

1 Min Read

The Los Angeles Dodgers suffered a stunning loss on Tuesday night when closer Craig Kimbrel failed to lock up the win in the bottom of the 11th inning, leading to a 5-4 victory for the Milwaukee Brewers.

Kibrel surrendered a pair of runs on two hits, and also walked a batter, in what has been a frustrating struggle for the veteran hurler.

For his part, Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said he “felt Craig threw the baseball just fine tonight”, according to the Los Angeles Times’ Jack Harris. “The result is not what any of us wanted, but I’m not gonna just go by results alone, if I believe that the stuff is good, the process is good.”

Kimbrel has had a rough go in the start of August, and his ERA is climbing.

“It’s tremendously frustrating… I just feel like I’ve been battling, not necessarily the other team, but myself. … I just haven’t put it all together” Kimbrel said, according to SportsNet LA.

The Dodgers will need Kimbrel to regain his form as they embark on the stretch run of the regular season and prepare for the postseason.
