Dolphins Penalized First Round, Third Round Picks, Stephen Ross Suspended

1 Min Read

The NFL came down on the Miami Dolphins for tampering with current Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady and former New Orleans Saints head coach Sean Payton, levying a massive set of penalties on Tuesday.

According to NFL Network insider Tom Pelissero, the Dolphins have been penalized a 2023 1st round pick, a 2024 third round pick, and Dolphins owner Stephen Ross has been suspended until October.

Additionally, Bruce Beal, who is the “owner in waiting” was suspended for a full year.

This is yet another fallout from the lawsuit filed by former Dolphins head coach Brian Flores who alleged that Ross, and the Dolphins, had indeed tampered with Brady, and Payton.

More details to come as they are released.
