Giants’ Collin Johnson Suffers Torn ACL

1 Min Read

The New York Giants suffered a big blow as promising wide receiver Collin Johnson will miss the entire 2022 season after he suffered a town ACL during Wednesday’s team practice, according to a team announcement.

Johnson had been receiving first-team snaps in recent weeks at practice with both Kadarius Toney and Sterling Shepard on the sidelines. Shepard ended up returning to practice on Wednesday, the same day the Giants lost Johnson.

“Collin Johnson, David Sills, they’ve stepped their game up,” Daboll said earlier this week of his receiving corps, according to ESPN’s Jordan Raanan. “And they’re right in the mix, not just to make a team but to play.”

Johnson, 24, has 29 catches for 377 yards over his career, a total of 26 games, with the Giants and the Jacksonville Jaguars.
