Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady has been away from the team since August 11th for what has been described as “personal things” and there still isn’t a clear timeframe for Brady’s return.

Bucs coach Todd Bowles spoke about Brady’s absence and the unknown status of his return.

“We’ll see,” Bowles said Thursday, according to ESPN’s Jenna Laine. “We’ll talk about it next week. Not concerned about it right now. We’re trying to practice against Tennessee and play a game. I said ‘sometime after Tennessee.’ There’s no definitive date for me. But we’ll check on it, we’ll keep in touch and we’ll find out.”

Bowles added that he has kept in contact with Brady while he has been away from the team and expressed his confidence that Brady will be under center for Tampa Bay’s regular season opener against the Dallas Cowboys on September 11th.

When Brady does suit up for that game he would be the oldest quarterback in NFL history to start a regular-season game at age 45.
