Vikings’ Kirk Cousins Responds to Criticism of Offense

1 Min Read

With a brand new head coach in Kevin O’Connell in the picture, the Minnesota Vikings are hoping that the 2022 season brings them a fresh slate, and more success, and there is excitement over what the offense will look like with O’Connell in the fold.

Cousins has been criticized for not taking enough chances and/or throwing the ball downfield enough, and when he was asked by Peter King about that very criticism, Cousins had a very confident response.

“I think we’re pretty explosive when you look at what Justin Jefferson has done and Adam Thielen has done and if you look at just the simple numbers with air yards and downfield passes. I think the actual statistics would suggest that we’re doing that” Cousins said (h/t Pro Football Talk).

The Vikings are looking to make noise in the NFC this season, and with a renewed confidence, plenty of weapons, and a brand new head coach, there is plenty to get excited about in Minnesota this upcoming season.
