Hornets’ LaMelo Ball Exits Game with Ankle Sprain

1 Min Read

The Charlotte Hornets saw the return of veteran forward Gordon Hayward, who has not played since back in April, but the excitement was short lived as All-Star guard LaMelo Ball suffered an ankle during their loss to the Washington Wizards.

The Hornets rough preseason continued as they dropped to 0-3 following Monday night’s loss to the Wizards.

Ball was injured when he stepped on the foot of Wizards big man Anthony Gill, which caused Ball to roll his left ankle. Following the game, Hornets head coach Steve Clifford say that the team has ruled Ball as day-to-day.

The Hornets kick off the regular season on October 19th against the San Antonio Spurs.
