Landon Collins Returning to Giants

1 Min Read

Veteran safety Landon Collins is headed back to the New York Giants, where he spent the first part of his career, as the two sides have confirmed they are finalizing a deal, according to ESPN’s Jordan Raanan (via Josina Anderson).

Collins is being signed to the team’s practice squad initially, but is expected to be utilized in a variety of roles within the aggressive defense scheme of coordinator Wink Martindale, and Collins looks to recapture his form.

Collins spent the last three seasons with the Washington Commanders, but prior to that, while playing for the Giants, Collins finished third in the NFL Defensive Player of the Year voting in the 2016 season, when he had 125 tackles, 4.0 sacks and 5 interceptions.

The Giants are currently overseas, where Collins will join them, as they prepare to take on the Green Bay Packers in London on Sunday.
