Dodgers Add Shelby Miller

1 Min Read

The Los Angeles Dodgers are kicking off the free agency season by bolstering their pitching staff, reaching an agreement with veteran right-hander Shelby Miller, pending a physical, according to The Athletic’s Ken Rosenthal.

Miller, once upon a time, was a dependable starter during the first few years of his career, but he dwindled away since 2017 making just 16 starts over the last five seasons posting a 3-11 record with a 7.88 ERA.

Miller, 32, most recently played in the majors for the San Francisco Giants, where he made four total appearances during the 2022 season, pitching seven innings and allowing five runs while striking out 14 batters.
