The Houston Astros are ensuring that veteran outfielder Michael Brantley continues his career in Houston.
According to the New York Post’s Jon Heyman, the Astros are working on a deal to keep Brantley in the fold, following an injury plagued 2022 campaign that saw him limited to just 64 games and 277 plate appearances, due to a shoulder injury.
Brantley underwent season-ending surgery in August, and may be healthy by the start of next season as the projected timeline is 5-6 months.
