Cowboys’ Micah Parsons Talks Jalen Hurts, Eagles

2 Min Read

Ahead of a pivotal divisional clash between the Dallas Cowboys and the Philadelphia Eagles, Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons chimed in on his thoughts about the powerhouse Eagles and their MVP candidate quarterback Jalen Hurts.

Parsons appeared as a guest on Von Miller’s ‘The VonCast’ and discussed a number of things, including how the “trench warfare” is starting to take it’s toll on his body, and admitting a difference in his body from 2021 compared to 2022.

“People don’t understand that trench warfare. I’m not gonna lie, when I was playing LB a whole lot last year, my body was way more fresh. There were some plays I wouldn’t get touched. When you’re on the line, you’re getting touched every play,” Parsons said (h/t Jon Machota of The Athletic).

Parsons also discusses Hurts’ MVP caliber season, and the rise of the Eagles, and asked Miller if the team’s success this season was based off of the play of Hurts, or the team as a whole.

“I think it’s a little bit of both because they’ve got a great D, great offensive line, which helps Hurts. Hurts has AJ Brown and DeVonta Smith. They’ve got a good running game, the scheme that they have” Miller responded.

Parsons then added his own take: “I’m not trying to make no enemies, I’m not. I just love the game so much and I understand it so much, that like when things are off, I just can’t hold it in. I’ve almost got to say something. But everyone has their own opinions.

“(Jalen Hurts) He’s good, he’s good”.
