Ahead of a divisional clash against rivals the Dallas Cowboys, the Philadelphia Eagles may be without their star quarterback Jalen Hurts, whose status is uncertain heading into the game due to a sprained shoulder, according to ESPN’s Tim McManus.

Hurts’ injury is not considered long-term, but if he is unable to play on Christmas Eve against the Cowboys, then the Eagles will start Gardner Minshew.

Hurts suffered the injury at the end of the third quarter against the Chicago Bears when Hurts was driven to the ground by Bears’ defensive lineman Trevis Gipson following a three-yard run by Hurts.

“It wasn’t the first time I’ve been slow [to get up], it won’t be the last,” Hurts said. “I did play a really physical game, and it was real cold, too. So happy we were able to find a win and in the end find a way.”
