The San Francisco Giants have announced a pair of signings on Friday, agreeing to a two-year, $36 million contract with veteran outfielder Michael Conforto, and signing left-handed reliever Taylor Rogers to a three-year, $33 million deal, according to ESPN.
Conforto’s contract includes an opt-out after the 2023 season, and joins the Giants after missing the 2022 season following April shoulder surgery. Conforto became a free agent with he declined an $18.4 million qualifying offer from the New York Mets, where he spent seven seasons including his 2017 All-Star season.
Rogers, 32, joins his twin brother right-hander Tyler, in the Giants’ bullpen after spending the 2022 season with the San Diego Padres and the Milwaukee Brewers, going 4-8 with a 4.76 ERA. Roger spent six seasons with the Minnesota Twins.
