Brooklyn Nets superstar forward Kevin Durant is already eyeing a return to the court as he looks to make his way back from an MCL sprain that he suffered back on January 8th during a victory over the Miami Heat.

The Nets have struggled without Durant in the lineup, but they may not have to wait much longer for Durant to return.

“That would be a nice target point for me I guess, is the few games before the (All-Star game) to get my legs back under me,” Durant said on his podcast, the ETCs (h/t ClutchPoints). “That’s in an ideal situation, then slide into the All-Star break back healthy, back on the floor.”

The Nets said that Durant is “progressing as expected” and would begin on-court activities before being re-evaluated on February 7th.

According to The Athletic’s Shams Charania – “There is optimism that Kevin Durant will return to action for Nets ahead of the All-Star break – and play in the All-Star Game.”

Durant is averaging 29.7 points, 6.7 rebounds and 5.3 assists this season for Brooklyn.
