Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady said that he is retiring from football “for good”, announcing his decision in a social media post issued on Wednesday stating that he “wouldn’t change a thing about his career.

Brady, 45, ends his 23-year career in the league, staking his claim as the greatest of all time.

“I know the process was a pretty big deal last time, so when I woke up this morning, I figured I’d just press record and let you guys know first,” Brady said in the video posted on Twitter. “I won’t be longwinded. You only get one super emotional retirement essay, and I used mine up last year, so really thank you guys so much to every single one of you for supporting me.”

“My family, my friends, my teammates, my competitors, I could go on forever, there’s too many,” Brady said. “Thank you guys for allowing me to live my absolute dream. I wouldn’t change a thing. Love you all.”

Brady is a seven-time Super Bowl winner who ends his career as the NFL’s all-time leader in passing yards with 89,214, touchdown passes with 649, and is a three-time league MVP.
