Packers’ Jordan Love ‘Building Confidence’ With Receivers

2 Min Read

The Green Bay Packers have moved on from franchise quarterback Aaron Rodgers this offseason, sending him to the New York Jets in a blockbuster trade, and have turned to keys to the quarterback position over to former first round pick Jordan Love.

While Love has a major shadow caste over him due to the legendary run in Green Bay from the future Hall of Famer Rodgers, Love certainly has been starting things off on the right foot as the Packers’ starter.

According to Rob Demovsky of ESPN, Love has been vibing with his receivers, namely second-year wideout Romen Doubs and the two have stood out for their chemistry with one another early this offseason.

“When in doubt, you can throw it out there and you know he’s going to make a play, and he’s done a great job of going and getting the ball wherever it’s at,” Love said of Doubs. “He’s made some really tough catches, and it kind of just builds everybody’s confidence. It builds my confidence in him, just being able to throw the ball out there and know he’s going to make a play.”

Just like Love, the Packers are going to lean on Doubs to take on a bigger role this upcoming season. Doubs is coming off a 2022 campaign that saw him reel in 42 catches for 425 yards and three touchdowns.

Love and Doubs will certainly be the main story to follow for the Packer sports media journalists that will be following the team this upcoming season.
