49ers’ Deebo Samuel Hangs Up On Radio Show Following Eagles Question

2 Min Read

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Deebo Samuel wasn’t too happy during an appearance on one of the sports radio shows he appears on and hung up on the show following a question related to the Philadelphia Eagles.

Samuel was a guest on The Zach Gelb Show on CBS Sports Radio when, during the phone call, when Gelb asked Samuel about his comments during Super Bowl week that the Niners would have beaten the Eagles in the NFC Championship Game by double digits had 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy not gotten injured.

Samuel wasn’t interested in revisiting it, saying – “That’s old. We’re not going to keep talking about it. I said what I said.”

However, Gelb wouldn’t let it go and kept pushing Samuel, asking – “You’re going into Philadelphia. Those fans are going to be booing you loud. Do you have a message for Eagles fans?” to which Deebo did not answer and hung up.

Gelb responded to the hang up by saying – “Deebo Samuel right there doesn’t want to answer a few questions. Are you serious? We got hung up on because all we did was ask him about the quarterback situation, and then Philadelphia, and we got hung up on by Deebo Samuel? That’s a joke! An absolute joke. That’s absurd.”

The interview with Samuel was supposed to go on for around 15 minutes, but only lasted about five before it was abruptly ended by Samuel.

Samuel certainly had every sports talk app buzzing following his exchange.
