Clippers Welcome James Harden

1 Min Read

The Los Angeles Clippers welcomed their new star player to the team as James Harden, who was acquired earlier this week via a trade with the Philadelphia 76ers, joined fellow new addition P.J. Tucker in their new locker room with the Clippers.

According to ESPN’s Ohm Youngmisuk, the two players received a warm welcome, specifically Harden who was greeted with a handshake and embrace by Clippers veteran guard Russell Westbrook, who played with Harden when both were with the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Clippers team president Lawrence Frank was there to greet both players and walk them to the Clippers’ locker room.

Finally, the long documented saga between Harden and his former team, which was the focus of many NBA journalists throughout the summer, is now completed.

The Clippers played the Orlando Magic later and now will have four days off before opening a three-game road trip that starts against the New York Knicks on Monday.
