1 Min Read

The Arizona Diamondbacks are bolstering their roster for another potential run to the World Series.

According to the New York Post’s Jon Heyman, Arizona has agreed to terms with infielder Kevin Newman, although specifics of the deal have not publicly been released.

Newman, 30, initially made his MLB debut back in 2018 with the Pittsburgh Pirates, but struggled down the stretch with a .209/.247/.231 slash line in 31 games for the team.

Newman slashed a solid .308/.353/.446 when he became the Pirates’ regular shortstop during the 2019 season.
